FAQ

Flying on a private jet with JetFlo offers a number of benefits compared to flying on a commercial airline such as:

Flexibility and convenience: One of the main benefits of flying private is the flexibility and convenience it provides. Private jet flights can be scheduled at a time that is convenient for you, and you can choose your departure and arrival airports, often avoiding the hassle and crowds of commercial airports.

Comfort and luxury: Private jets are typically designed for comfort and luxury, with plush seating, high-quality catering, and state-of-the-art entertainment systems including various speed of Wifi (from data for e-mailing and Whatsapp – Team – Wechat – Apple messenger – Line – Telegram – Signal tool [limited media capacity but good communication reliability] to full speed streaming [current faster technologies on the market being KA and KU band systems]). Some private jets even feature additional amenities like fully equipped bathrooms and sleeping quarters (ask your JetFlo advisor for more details on these aircraft).

Privacy and security: Flying on a private jet offers a high degree of privacy and safety especially since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. You are only traveling with your selected guests such as friends, family, business partners, employees, clients or suppliers. Private jets security screening is fast and efficient without compromising your safety.

Time savings: Flying with your Private aircraft allows you to take off and land at smaller, more convenient airports, allowing you to avoid the congestion and delays of larger commercial airports. This can save significant amounts of time, reduce stress and ease your overall journey.

Productivity: With the privacy and comfort of a private jet, many passengers find that they can be more productive during their flight, whether that means working on important projects, holding confidential meetings, or simply relaxing and recharging. We strongly request you to check with your advisor if the aircraft that you will use with us is equipped with Wifi should internet access be mandatory for your productivity on your flights.

Yes, it is possible to book last-minute flights on private jets.

Our SPECON 1 team (SPEed CONditioin 1) put itself in high alert to find access to a private jets within a few minutes and will come back to you with the most suitable solution based on your requirement and the feasibility of the operation.

However, it's important to keep in mind that last-minute flights may be subject to higher costs and other constraints.

Cost :
limited availability and the potential need to reposition urgently an aircraft to accommodate the request might impact the price.

Congestion :
Certain popular destinations, during peak travel periods, may have limited availability of private jets or parking, making it more difficult to book a last-minute flight.

Traffic rights : The most complex part, (so leave it to us !)
Last minute flight may require traffic rights. These authorizations to fly over certain countries or land / take off from and in some airports can take time, especially if you do transatlantic or international flights. Intra Europe or intra North America flights may not be too difficult to plan and can be set very fast but for most of the other flights last minute will request time…. We will coordinate things to speed up the process. You can rely on our team.

To increase your chances of securing a last-minute private jet flight, you can trust JetFlo. Thanks to our aviation expertise mixed with our proprietary technology, we know where and how to find the aircraft that will fly you as soon as possible.

An empty leg, also known as a deadhead or repositioning flight, is a term used in the private aviation industry to describe a one-way flight of an aircraft without passengers. This usually occurs when an aircraft is required to reposition to another airport for its next flight or maintenance, or when it is returning to its home base after dropping off passengers at their destination.

At JetFlo, one of our focuses is to provide you with excellent access to empty legs as it is an opportunity to have a reduce carbon footprint since the flight is already scheduled to take place. Your presence on board will make this flight a passenger transportation flight and not an empty flight.

It’s a win win-win situation as empty legs are usually at lower cost, since the operator may have calculated the cost of this empty flight in operation. However, it's important to note that the availability of empty legs can be unpredictable and may require a degree of flexibility in terms of travel dates and destinations.

We constantly monitor the empty legs available to allow you to take advantage of these cost-saving opportunities.

At JetFlo, we understand that your pet is a member of the family. Yes, you can typically travel with your pet on a private jet, although the policies and restrictions may vary depending on the aircraft owners’ will, the operator and the aircraft type.

Most private jet operators are generally pet-friendly and can accommodate pets on board the aircraft, as long as the pet is well-behaved, properly trained, and meets certain requirements such as being up to date on their vaccinations and having all the necessary travel documents. Some operators may also have weight and size restrictions for pets or may require that the pet is kept in a carrier or crate during the flight.

It's important to notify us in advance if you plan to travel with a pet so that we can make the necessary arrangements and ensure that the aircraft is properly cleaned and prepared for your pet's comfort and safety.
It's also recommended to check with your destination's customs and immigration requirements, as certain countries may have specific regulations and documentation requirements for pets traveling across borders.

We love horses !... JetFlo work with different cago suppliers when it comes to transporting big animals...
We organise to choose the right crate as your horses must be transported in a special crate that is designed to keep them safe and comfortable during the flight. The crate should be large enough for the horse to stand, lie down, and turn around in. It should also have good ventilation and be sturdy enough to withstand the rigors of air travel.

Depending on your destination, you may need to obtain permits and health certificates for your horse. We will support your with the coordination with the veterinarian and local authorities to ensure you have all the necessary paperwork. For the quarantine facilities should this be needed JetFlo can also assist you.

Unlike with commercial aviation, you don’t need to arrive 2 or 3 hours before your flight. We usually recommend our passengers to arrive around half-an-hour before their departure time to allow enough time to board and load your baggage. The handling agent in the major airports will welcome you in great comfort and offer you drinks while they take care of everything for you.

Time is of the essence and the beauty of flying private is to be able to fly once you have arrived. You can literally hop in your plane once arrived at your airport should you be arriving at the time of your flight plan…

The presence of a flight attendant depends on your will but also the size of the aircraft selected. In most of the aircraft ranging from the Super Midsize, a flight attendant will be on board and is included in the price. You should contact your JetFlo sales representative to ensure that a flight attendant will be on board your next flight.

Yes, many private jets are equipped with Wi-Fi, allowing passengers to stay connected to the internet while in flight, although the quality and speed of the Wi-Fi connection may vary depending on the specific aircraft and the location of the flight. Some private jets may also offer other amenities such as satellite TV, video conferencing, and other entertainment options. It's always a good idea to check with your sales representative in advance to confirm what amenities are available on your specific aircraft.

The cost of Wi-Fi on board a private jet can vary depending on the aircraft, the operator, and the specific Wi-Fi package or plan chosen. Some private jet operators include Wi-Fi as a standard amenity, but the majority charge an additional fee for access to the internet. It's best to check with your sales representative to see what the policy of the selected aircraft regarding Wi-Fi access and pricing is. We can provide you with more information about the specific costs and options available for Wi-Fi on board your selected private jets.

The baggage capacity of your plane varies a lot depending on the size of the aircraft you have selected. JetFlo mentions in his offers the standard baggage capacity per aircraft type.
For Skis, snowboard, hunting rifle and their ammunitions or any specific large items some rules are to be followed-up. Our team is here to help… don’t forget to call us +41 22 886 09 00 or send us an e-mail on fly@jetflo.com

SAF stands for Sustainable Aviation Fuel. It is an alternative aviation fuel made from sustainable and renewable sources, such as plant-based materials, waste products, and non-petroleum resources. SAF can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 80% compared to traditional jet fuel, making it an important part of efforts to reduce the environmental impact of air travel. SAF can be used as a drop-in replacement for conventional jet fuel, without any modifications to the aircraft or the existing infrastructure. It has been certified for use in commercial aviation by several aviation authorities, including ASTM International (https://www.astm.org ), the European Aviation Safety Agency (https://www.easa.europa.eu/en), IATA (https://www.iata.org/) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) https://www.faa.gov/.

Many private aviation companies are increasingly adopting SAF as part of their sustainability and environmental initiatives, and some operators offer customers the option to offset their carbon emissions or to choose flights that use SAF. The increased use of SAF in aviation is expected to contribute to the aviation industry's efforts to achieve carbon neutrality and reduce its environmental impact in the coming years.

JetFlo strongly encourages the use of SAF fuel when available as it is today the best option for private jet users to significantly reduce the impact of their flights.

Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) is currently available at an increasing number of airports around the world, with more locations expected to offer SAF in the coming years. Some of the airports where SAF is currently available or in development include:
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)
San Francisco International Airport (SFO)
Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS)
Frankfurt Airport (FRA)
Oslo Airport (OSL)
Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN)
London Heathrow Airport (LHR)
London Farnborough Airport (FAB)
Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA)
Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD)
Munich Airport (MUC)

It's recommended to check with your JetFlo sales representative to inquire about the availability of SAF for your specific flight and to confirm any additional requirements or costs associated with using SAF.

The aviation industry is taking a number of measures and initiatives to reduce their environmental impact and become more sustainable. Here are some examples:

Investment in sustainable aviation fuel: The aviation industry is increasingly investing in sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) to reduce carbon emissions. Several airlines and private aviation companies have committed to using SAF on some or all of their flights, while others have invested in the development of SAF production facilities.
Fleet renewal and modernization: Many airlines and private aviation companies are retiring older, less fuel-efficient aircraft and replacing them with newer, more efficient models that have lower emissions and are equipped with advanced technology to reduce fuel consumption. That is why JetFlo will always recommend aircraft that are less than 15 years old.

Improved operational practices: The aviation industry is continuously seeking to optimize their operations to reduce their carbon footprint. This includes initiatives such as implementing more efficient air traffic management systems, reducing aircraft weight and drag, and improving ground handling and airport operations.
Carbon offset programs: JetFlo is offering a carbon offset programs that allow customers to offset the carbon emissions from their flights by investing in renewable energy projects or other sustainability initiatives through My Climate Care.

Collaboration and industry partnerships: The aviation industry is working together to share best practices, research and development, and coordinate efforts to reduce environmental impact. For example, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and the Airports Council International (ACI) have set ambitious targets for reducing carbon emissions and are working together to achieve these goals.
Alternative aircraft technologies: The aviation industry is also exploring alternative aircraft technologies such as electric or hybrid-electric aircraft, hydrogen fuel cells, and other sustainable options that could help reduce emissions in the future.

These are just a few examples of the many initiatives and efforts being undertaken by the aviation industry to reduce their environmental impact and become more sustainable
