In recent years, the business aviation industry has seen a remarkable transformation. As global travel demands more flexibility, speed, and comfort, private jet manufacturers have been locked in a high-stakes competition to deliver the most spacious, luxurious, and capable aircraft on the market. The race is no longer just about speed or aesthetics—it’s about size, range, and redefining the boundaries of airborne luxury.
At
Jetflo, a private jet charter broker based in Switzerland, we’ve seen firsthand how client expectations are evolving. Business jet travelers are looking for seamless intercontinental flights, full-size bedrooms, and onboard amenities that rival five-star hotels. Aircraft manufacturers have responded with groundbreaking new models: the
Dassault Falcon 6X and 10X,
Bombardier Global 7500 and 8000, and
Gulfstream G700 and G800.
Dassault Falcon 6X and 10X: French Elegance Meets Innovation
Dassault Aviation, long known for its military aircraft heritage and sleek Falcon line, is taking bold steps with its new ultra-widebody jets.
The
Falcon 6X, that started delivery in February 2024, is billed as the world’s first “ultra-widebody” business jet. With a cabin height of 6 feet 6 inches and width of 8 feet 6 inches, it offers unparalleled volume in its class. Its range of 5,500 nautical miles makes it ideal for transatlantic and even some transpacific flights. The 6X also boasts the most advanced digital flight control system in its category, and a whisper-quiet cabin environment designed for rest or productivity.
Not to be outdone, Dassault announced the
Falcon 10X, which promises to be a game-changer. When it enters service, the 10X will feature the largest cabin cross-section of any purpose-built business jet—larger even than the Gulfstream G700 and Bombardier Global 7500. With a range of 7,500 nautical miles, the 10X is capable of flying nonstop from New York to Shanghai or from London to Santiago. Designed with the traveler in mind, its customizable cabin allows for a full-size bedroom, private shower, and multiple living zones. Entry into service of the Falcon 10X is expected towards the end of 2025.
Bombardier Global 7500 and 8000: Canadian Craftsmanship, World-Class Reach
Bombardier’s Global 7500, already a favorite among ultra-high-net-worth individuals and corporations, set a new standard when it entered service. With a range of 7,700 nautical miles and a top speed of Mach 0.925, it can fly nonstop from Singapore to San Francisco or from Miami to Dubai. The Global 7500 features four distinct cabin zones, a full-size galley, and an industry exclusive Nuage seat designed for long-haul comfort.
Yet
Bombardier wasn’t content to rest on its laurels. The
Global 8000, unveiled as the next evolution in the Global line, will become the fastest and longest-range business jet in the world. Expected to enter service in 2025, the 8000 will offer an astonishing 8,000 nautical mile range and reach speeds up to Mach 0.94. In test flights, it has even gone supersonic—an impressive feat for a business jet. Its cabin will offer a similar configuration to the 7500, but with improvements in air quality, pressure, and acoustics, reinforcing Bombardier’s commitment to passenger wellness.
