Gulfstream I (G-I): Grumman-designed twin-turboprop business aircraft — Gulfstream's first model and the foundation of the brand.
1967: Gulfstream II (G-II) enters service — the first true large-cabin business jet, introducing intercontinental range and effectively creating the corporate jet category.
1979: G-III brings aerodynamic improvements, longer range and advanced avionics. 1987: G-IV becomes one of the most successful large-cabin jets ever and the corporate-aviation standard of its era.
Gulfstream V launches, capable of 6,500 nm. The platform later evolves into the G550 and remains in widespread service decades later.
2003: G550 introduced, refining the G-V with enhanced avionics, increased range and a larger cabin. 2004: G450 succeeds the G-IV. 2008: Gulfstream announces the G650, the new ultra-long-range flagship.
2012: G280 super-midsize enters service. 2012: G650 enters service with 7,000+ nm and world speed/range records. 2014: G650ER pushes range to 7,500 nm. 2014: G500 and G600 programs launch, introducing the Symmetry Flight Deck.
2019: G700 unveiled, with the industry's largest cabin and 7,500 nm range — entering service in 2024. 2021: G800 announced with 8,000 nm capability. 2021: G400 announced to replace earlier-generation models in the 4,000–4,500 nm category.
